Filters for variable speed motor drives

We have different types of filters for variable speed motor drives, according to your needs. Among them you will find sinusoidal filters, passive harmonic filters and line filters for regenerative VFD.

What is the purpose of each type of filter for variable speed motor drives?

Sinusoidal filters are three-phase filters that eliminate the pulses generated by the output voltage of PWM engine frequency converters.

Passive harmonic filters are used for 6-pulse power converters, such as frequency converters for engines.

Finally, the line filters for VFD are used for the connection between the network and the input of the regenerative frequency converters in engines operating lifting work, such as, for example, those powering escalators, cranes, hoists or lifts.
